Veterans Way Banner kickoff

It was a beautiful day for the Veterans Way Banner kickoff! Over 100 attendees heard from Exchange Club President Trent Hunter, Mayor Quentin Hart, and former Mayor Tim Hurley.
The Veterans Way Banner program in Waterloo, Iowa, aims to honor and pay tribute to brave men and women who have served in the armed forces.   The Veterans Way Walk of Honor began in 2023 with 42 banners adorning 16 blocks of the 4th Street corridor in downtown Waterloo, from Washington St. to Adams St. Each banner features the name and photograph of an honored veteran, with additional bios available on the digital tour at WaterlooVeteransWay.com.
Veterans who have served in any branch of the armed forces and have a connection to the Cedar Valley and/or Black Hawk County are eligible. This includes active-duty service members, veterans of past conflicts, and those who have served during peacetime.
Thank you to all our Veterans!
